One of the best days in your life was unfortunately coming to an end. You always enjoyed celebrating the end of the year and Chan's birthday the same day but this year was completely different now that you got to live that moment as Chan's girlfriend and not best friend. Differences were barely noticeable for others but for you, who got to spend the night with him were more than visible.

While you were Chan's best friend, at this time you would be on his car as he drove you home wishing you could stay with him for a little longer but tonight you're both heading to the same place: your real home. You would always say he was your home but now you were talking about a physical one you were able to rent a few months ago. And living with him made your biggest dream during his birthday to come true. He asked knocking you out of your thoughts.

"Did you have fun?" He asked knocking you out of your thoughts. "Never had more fun." You answered with a wide smile plastered on your face. He thought you were the most beautiful flower in his life garden, holding an entire galaxy on your eyes whenever they met his gaze. He never knew what he did to deserve you but he was so grateful to whoever made him meet you. "Though I'm tired." You added, now you were the one kicking him out of his thoughts. "We're almost there." He said, placing his free hand on your knee and smiling at you.

You finally arrived home and in the blink of an eye you were both changed into your pyjama and cuddling in the warmth of your shared bed. "You really wanted to get in bed huh?" He asked laughing. "I told you I was tired." You admitted right before yawning. "Then let me hold you tight and lull you to sleep." He said pulling you closer. He started to sing softly, knowing how much you have always loved to listen to his voice whenever you were tired. You have always been so sure that he could heal your damaged and tired soul whenever he sang to you and tonight wasn't an exception. Your eyelids started to feel heavier as you listened to his soft voice mixed with the rhythmic sound of his heart in his ribcage and the soft sound of his breathing. Soon you were dozed off and your soft snores were added to the mix of his voice and body sounds. "Sleep well. I love you my tiny flower." He whispered placing a soft kiss on your forehead right before falling asleep as well.

[00:49] A downpour pounded the pavement, unforgiving. Rain had always been something calming, but now it reflected how your heart was, how it had been for weeks ever since your breakup. You tried to stay strong, knowing that breaking off the two years long relationship was for the best. But knowing it in your brain was different than convincing your heart.

Today wasn’t any special day in particular, but it felt like it. Your heart yearned for him. You missed him. His touch. His laugh. You hadn’t done much laughing lately. And so you had let your friend persuade you into a couple drinks, but then a couple glasses turned into a couple bottles, and you found yourself wandering the streets after your friend passed out for the night. It started raining soon after.

The hood you pulled over your head did little to keep you from getting soaked, shivering and shaking seconds after. Where you were going, you had no idea. And then your head cleared enough for you to recognize the buildings you trudged past, and yet you didn’t keep yourself from stopping in front of his building.

The lights of the lobby were still on despite the late hour. The awning offering protection from the skies was just a couple feet away, but you remained standing on the sidewalk, sobering up more and more as the freezing drops washed through your clothed body, chilling you to the core.

You knew he would be upstairs, safe and warm in his bed, and yet you stayed, a small, distant part of yourself hoping you’d get to see him again. Hear his voice again.

How long you stood there, you weren’t sure. The occasional straggler passed by, either with or without an umbrella. Few spared you a glance. Finally, you turned away to go back home, wrapping your arms around yourself.

A pair of eyes met yours from under an umbrella. You didn’t think about the mess you looked, nor if you’d seem crazy for standing outside his apartment for god knows how long. You didn’t think at all, mind blanking the moment you recognized the face you’d woken up to countless times. The eyes you’d stared into every chance you got, the lips that you kissed and that worshipped you.

Donghun shifting his stance shook you from your stupor. In his hand, a bag from a convenience store.

Your mouth moved on it’s own, asking the question you wondered on the nights you cried yourself to sleep. “How have you been?”

“Me? How have I been?” Donghun questioned, unbelieving. “What are you doing out here, at one am, in the pouring rain?” You flinched at the angry tone in his voice.

“I don’t know,” you answered truthfully, ignoring the ache in your chest. “I’ll be going now. Have a good night.” You tore your eyes away from Donghun’s face to brush past him, your feet much stronger than your heart.

His hand shot out to wrap around your arm- a scorching contrast to the frozen skin under your sleeves- pulling you under the umbrella. Your eyes automatically trained down to his hand; your body had craved his touch much more than you thought.

Noticing the focus of your gaze, Donghun released his grip on you. You stifled a whimper.

“Here, take the umbrella. Don’t worry about returning it, I have another one,” effectively cutting off any excuse you’d have of seeing him again.

From his words, Donghun was done talking.

But he remained under the umbrella with you, yearning to say the words he was afraid to: I still love you. I know you do too. But then he took a step out, and turned his back. It was for the best.

Another kiss was placed on your forearm, followed by the the next one, and the one after that.

Warm spots were left on your skin everytime Chan's lips touched your bare limb, just to be pulled away and do the same thing a little further up to your shoulder.

The only thing heard through the surrounding silence were your shallow breaths, and the occasional smacking when Chan pressed his lips harder to your arm each time they met the pink marks.

The ones you hated so much, ones that kept reminding you of what you'd been through and what you'd want to forget. The ones that, in your mind, marred your already faulty body.

Chan's hot breath tickled you as he moved from your shoulder to the collarbone, and then to the neck, continuously placing little pecks on them.

You tilted your head to give gim better access, feeling the man's mouth curve into a smirk while still being pressed to your warm skin.

He slowly kissed the path to your chin to finally place his lips on yours, staying there for the longest time so far.

Your foreheads remained connected when he pulled away and looked into your eyes deeply, as if he was looking into an interminable universe.

You weren't sure how much time passed, it could be seconds or minutes - hell, you wouldn't be surprised if it was hours - when Chan shook his head, very slightly, his gaze still focused on you.

"You're so, so beautiful..." Chan raised his hand to your cheek lazily and stroked it with his thumb.

"With scars or without... you're the most magnificent person I have ever seen."

Masterlist

A/N: This is my new masterlist. I was going to just make a second masterlist but then I thought it would be a great idea to organize all my works and make tiny masterlists within this giant masterlist. So for example I have a masterlist linked in here just for my vav works titled “VAV Masterlist” depending on how much I’ve written for a certain group determines if they get their own masterlist. If there’s not a lot of pieces for a group or idol those pieces will be at the bottom. Also if I think I plan on writing for more of a certain group or idol they will get their own masterlist as well. The “Odds and Ends Masterlist” is for any edits I’ve made that aren’t moodboards or pieces that aren’t fanfics.

At the time I am putting this up unfortunately it is not complete as there are plenty of drafts that are not done. When I finish them they will be linked in the masterlist. Some things might change, I might decide  don’t want to continue to write on something so I will delete it from the list, the ones that don’t have links yet. Those I either have not started of have not finished. Another problem some links don’t exist when you click on them or they were there and then magically disappeared so I have to search for them again and reposted those :( I just checked my “odds and ends masterlist” and apparently that url does not exist so I will get it fixed it will just be awhile. I have to constantly go back and forth between desktop and mobile to find things and I’m just really so at trying to update the masterlist. Hoping I can get the links and things all fingered out and then I can just worry about writing the fics.

{ 10:49pm } the windows were rolled down, music playing quietly from the radio. you had plugged your phone in, and soft music that both of you loved was gracing your ears. but you weren’t focused on that.

donghun had one hand on the steering wheel while he drove, the other holding yours on his thigh. the air was warm, nothing too hot and not too cold, and the wind whipping through the open windows took your hair with it. he looked over at you during a red light, smiling softly as he squeezed your hand.

the lights of the city twinkled both in the distance and in the streets before you. while you were stopped at the intersection, the light shone a soft red on his face, casting him in an almost eerie light. leaning over, you placed a kiss on his cheek.

when he took off again, he took you along the streets, singing songs with you and holding your hand the entire way. donghun drove up toward your favorite lookout spot, and once he put the car in park, he got out and came to your side of the car. opening the door, he offered you his hand and lead you to the front. climbing up onto the hood, you curled up against his chest, happy to watch the stars twinkling in the night sky.

...I have no words haha.
